20 mins for tiny tots

30 mins for juniors & improvers

Lorna specialises in working with young learners. She teaches 20 and 30 minute piano lessons during school term and through the holidays.

20 minute lessons are best for very small children who can begin classes when they are able to concentrate for five minutes or more at a time. Usually 4 to 5 years of age.

The focus is on fun and the gentle introduction to the piano, fostering a love and an excitement for music. Adults are encouraged to stay close, have a cuppa in the kitchen and relax.

30 minute classes are for children who can focus a little longer and have improved enough to benefit from more time.

We welcome children with all sorts of needs so please do let us know before the first lesson if you anticipate the need for additional teaching methods.

Music Theory Classes

1 hour Individual

1 hour Group

Lorna offers music theory classes for both individuals and small groups.

The sessions vary depending on the needs of the class.

Some students would like to learn to read music to be able to join or better participate in a choir.

Others would like to develop the skills to write their own pop music or maybe follow a score as they listen to a classical recording.

Whatever your motivation, Lorna will get you where you want to go!

J/L Cert Grinds

1 hour Individual Classes

Lorna offers Junior & Leaving Certificate Music grinds for both individuals and small groups.

We know that preparing for these exams can become quite stressful and expensive so although we recommend individual grinds, Lorna offers small group lessons when possible - especially welcomed are a few friends together to relieve anxiety and maybe even smile now and again!
